Heavenly Chocolate Fountain

Frequently Asked Questions...

Q.What is a chocolate dipping fountain?
A.  A chocolate dipping fountain is a food grade stainless steel machine that is designed to allow chocolate to flow in a liquid form. A motor driven inner corkscrew rotates and brings the chocolate from the heated base to the opening at the top of the fountain where it overflows down the tiers and into the basin. The cascading curtain of chocolate gives the illusion of a chocolate waterfall.

Q. What kind of chocolate do you use?
A.  We use only the finest SEPHRA chocolate in our dipping fountain.  This chocolate contains more cocoa butter than regular chocolate which ensures a superior quality taste, aroma, appearance and flow.

Q. Do you ever re-use your chocolate?
A.  We never re-use our chocolate!  We use freshly melted chocolate for each event.  If you would like the remaining chocolate, please provide us with a container.

Q.  What are the table and electrical requirements for the chocolate fountain?
 A.  Please provide us with a level, sturdy table (must hold 150 lbs.) to have the chocolate fountain operate properly.  We also ask that the table be skirted.  We need a grounded, 120 volt electrical outlet with 15 amps within 10 feet of where the fountain will be operated.

Q. Who is responsible for the setup, maintenance and cleanup of the fountain?
A.  We do all the work for you! A professional 'Heavenly' attendant will arrive approximately one hour prior to the arrival of your guests.  The fountain will be assembled and the table will be decorated.  At the end of your event, the attendant will  clean up and remove the fountain.

Q.  Is it necessary for an attendant to stay during my event?
A.  Our 'Heavenly' attendant will stay at your event to ensure that the smooth flow and proper temperature of your chocolate fountain are maintained throughout your entire event. If chocolate runs low during your reception, the attendant will add more. If a dessert accidentally drops into the fountain, the attendant will locate the dessert and discard it.

Q.  At what time during my reception should the chocolate fountain be served?
A.  Some people want the fountain to be offered to their guests during the cocktail portion of their reception, while others specify it be served at the end of their event as their dessert.  We can accommodate either for you

Q.  What can be dipped in the chocolate fountain?
A.  The possibilities are endless!  You can dip strawberries, bananas, pineapple, pretzels, marshmellows, cookies, rice crispy treats, cream puffs, donut holes and more.  If you are using a caterer, please provide us with their name and telephone number and you may also provide them with ours.  If you are not using a caterer, we can provide a wonderful assortment of dippers
for an additional fee.  Feel free to inquire about our packages.  We can also customize a package for you.

Q.  Are there any desserts that are not recommended for use with the fountain?
A.  Raspberries and blueberries may fall off skewers easily and effect the flow of the chocolate in the fountain so these items are not recommended.

Q.  Can the chocolate dipping fountain be used outdoors?
 A.  We highly recommend that you use the fountain indoors.  Outside weather conditions can influence the flow of the chocolate.

Q. Does Heavenly Chocolate Fountain provide any decorations for the fountain table?
A.  We take great pride in our display with floral accents and decorative fabric as well as elegant serving platters.

Q. Is Heavenly Chocolate Fountain insured?
A.  Absolutely!  We will be happy to supply your caterer or reception venue with the necessary documentation to verify our coverage.

Q.  When and how should I reserve my chocolate dipping fountain?
A.  Chocolate fountains have become increasingly popular at all types of special events and weekend dates fill up quickly.  Check with your caterer or reception venue to make sure you are allowed to hire your chocolate fountain vendor of choice.  Contact us as soon as possible to see if your desired date is available.  Reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.  We require a completed contract and a $175.00 deposit at the time of your booking.  The remaining balance is due two week prior to your event.  We accept personal checks, money orders and cash.
